Michael Kennedy's fantastic ceramic shop can be found on Market Street Sligo.

His collection of extaordiany exclusive pottery has been inspired by the surrounding county

made famous first by Ireland's greatest poet Willliam butler Yeats.

The range of pottery with shades of Atlantic Blue, Veronica Purple and Rosie Pink

is better known as 'The Heather Collection'.

The designs are based on myth and legend and tradition.

Every article an original masterpiece.

The method he uses is called Saltglazing where the vases and articles are placed in a kiln

and fired white-hot, salt is fired in and vaporises to cause the beautiful glanze effect.
