Strandhill holiday complex gets planning approval Sligo County Council has granted planning permission for a new holiday complex in Strandhill. The project, which will involve the demolition of an existing Bed and Breakfast building at Strandhill Promenade, will include eighteen apartments, with parking facilities for 19 cars. Planning permission for the development has been granted to Patsy, Brian, Neil, Johnson and John Byrne, the Strand Bar, Strandhill. There are twenty-one conditions attached to the planning permission, one of which states that the proposed development will be used solely for short-term holiday accommodation. The developers have to enter into an agreement with the planning authority, in accordance with Section 47 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 regulating the future use of the development, to provide that the entire development as permitted will remain as an integral unit, and that no element will be disposed of separately, either by way of lease, sale or other instrument of disposal.
