Last hurrah of summer Ciara Redden and Grace McAleese at the Tamangos End of Summer Party. THE Gang and a host of celebs were very much in attendance as Tamango Nightclub held its annual members party last Thursday night. As the balmy summer of 2006 drew to a close, the Portmarnock venue decided to celebrate a fantastic season by throwing a party for their members and guests. With a theme entitled ‘Summer’s End’, guests were greeted by chilled summer sounds with an array of mouth-watering cocktails to get the party going. The club recently underwent a superb renovation, but there were different kinds of decor on display to get clubbers in the mood for a night of sun and fun. The summery theme came in the form of Hawaiian surrounds, reminiscent of the tropical climate we’ve enjoyed of late, while a live band provided a cool Cuban backdrop, matched by two eye-catching salsa dancers. Guests could have been forgiven for thinking they had stepped onto the set of Miami Vice, as an assortment of speedboats, jetskis, Ferraris and a Harley Davidson were parked at the club entrance. The sunshine theme continued inside with hula-skirt-clad waitresses and Hawaiian shirt wearing bar tenders dishing out complimentary drinks from a number of Tikki Huts. Refusing to give into the winter approach, top models Gail and Hazel Kaneswarren and Claudine Palmer were lapping up the ‘guaranteed’ Tamango sunshine. Owner John Ryan and his daughter Marina greeted guests including George McMahon, Killian O’Sullivan, Niall McCrudden, Katie Jane Goldin, TV3’s Suzanne Coyne, Siobhan and Martina McClafferty to name but a few. Former Big Brother housemate Ray Shah also dropped by with Dublin socialites including Cindy Cafolla, Trevor Musgrave and Richard Kavanagh, while Valerie Roe and Gillian Quinn were in attendance to support their brother, nightclub manager Philip Roe. Also enjoying the last hurrah of summer were Ciara Reddin, Grace McAleese, Emily O’Donnelly and Tara Doyle. As were Frank Moore, Lisa Merrin and Alana Merrin, Fiona O’Rourke, Ciara McKinney, Rachel Hanaphy and Paul Hession. Also there was Vincent Bissett and his sister Orla. The summer party them continued into the weekend and club goers partied Hawaiian style as the summer drew to a close. Fingal Independent 06/06/2006 |
